COVID-19 UPDATE We are open! Call today to order a Just in Case Binder.
The Just in Case Binder was born out of love. Instructed by his doctors to get his affairs in order, a binder was created by a husband wanting to ensure that his wife knew everything she needed to know, if he were to suddenly pass away. His goal was to ease her burden. Together they sat down and put their information, such as their wills, the family’s finances, and other important matters, into a comprehensive book, so that all of this information was in one place.
When the time came to use this information, the family found that the advanced preparation and work had allowed them to spend quality memory time together, rather than encountering stress from countless phone calls, hurried decisions, and hard feelings. Because it had all been written out, they found that there was no need to second guess intentions.
The decision to come up with a universal plan to help others be as organized in the event of an unexpected death took root. In 2005, established by Harold Empey, the Just in Case Binder was created as a legacy to his family.
To further educate the public, the Just in Case Seminars were introduced. These seminars are designed to encourage easy discussion on the taboo subject of death and to educate people on the benefits of pre-planning final affairs.
In 2018, Elaine Lozinski joined Harold Empey’s quest in educating others on the benefits of final affair advanced planning and in partnership with Harold, she has assisted him with Just in Case. Inspired, she went on to create an additional branch, Blackwood Personal Planning, one on one consultation for those who require assistance with the Just in Case Binder and their final affair planning. The addition of Blackwood Personal Planning, to the existing Just in Case Binder and the Just in Case Seminars, rounds out the Just in Case Program.
Currently, the Just in Case Program is embarking on transformation. Harold Empey announced his complete retirement from Just in Case in 2020, leaving Just in Case under the ownership and direction of Elaine Lozinski. Elaine continues to stand behind the Just in Case Program and is honored to be entrusted with its future and that of the Just in Case Binder. As the Just in Case Program moves forward and begins its exciting next chapter, Elaine will continue to maintain Just in Case’s commitment to educate, to help and to reach people in our communities on the same level with which it was created.
The popularity of both the Just in Case Binder and the Just in Case Seminars have grown, mostly through word of mouth, from positive and encouraging endorsements of our many customers. Those who have seen and used the material have been very impressed. Many who have purchased the Just in Case Binder have expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the Binder, indicating how much it has helped them in their lives and how they have found that the benefits of preplanning are endless.
Since creation, Just in Case has flourished. To date, over 12,000 Just in Case Binders have been purchased and over 300 Just in Case Seminars have been held.
